In 2016, a massive earthquake literally tore the United States right down the middle and created a 13-mile chasm that stretches from Mexico all the way up to Canada.
In 2030, hundreds of bridges were built over the chasm, and citizens of the now Divided States of America began moving to the side of the country that best suited their sociopolitical beliefs.
In 2035, citizens who did not want to live in extremely polarized environments began creating settlements and communes on the bridges.
These settlements grew exponentially until millions of people from all over the country and all over the world were flooding to the bridges. With the influx of money and the rise of hyper-beings with extraordinary powers, buildings were erected, and neighborhoods were created at an incredible rate.
In 2065, Platinum City was officially born. It is the center of the Creative Extreme Multiverse and the epicenter of the world! A veritable melting pot of cultures and ethnicities, Platinum City is the focal point of technology, industry, manufacturing, politics, entertainment, finance and fashion.
It is also home to thousands of people with extraordinary hyper-powers and hundreds of Vigilante Superheroes.
“Did you know black vigilante heroes are five times more likely to receive prison time for the same acts performed by white vigilantes? Furthermore, jail sentences for black vigilantes are 35% longer; gear and equipment used by black vigilantes is 57% more likely to be confiscated; and most egregiously, when white vigilantes ARE detained and charged, their secret identities are revealed to the public at a tenth (!) the rate of black vigilantes. And we don’t have to tell you the dangers of supervillains knowing how to find you, your family and friends.

Iori is the son of a multi-billionaire, whose achievement of pinnacle intelligence and skill ushered him into position to control his father’s business conglomerate, Miyamoto Empires, at an early age. Passionate, dominant, and sometimes brash, Iori is a product of the futuristic times of which he lives in. Yet, it is his birthright of continuing the famed Ashikaga samurai bloodline, which is his true calling, though. He was molded in the ancient ways of bushido (the way of the samurai) by his father, guiding him to unparalleled proficiency with multiple fighting styles and weapons. Iori was also shown how to master his chi (spiritual energy) to find supreme enlightenment, enhancing his physical abilities of strength, speed, agility, endurance, and durability. Thus, when Iori came to age and began using his abilities to defend New Japan, Platinum City, the people anointed him their savior and named him Musashi. This ascendancy to supernatural power was also the beacon of opportunity the dark yokai (demon) known as Genbu has been anticipating, for now the prophesized one has emerged, igniting the final battle for Iori’s soul and the fate of millions!

Not only are they up to the task, they may be over-qualified for the position. Kharma, Crystal, Ja’Nique, Alexis, and Tiffany all graduated from the same college in the same year, and went on to begin successful careers in entertainment, technology, journalism, transportation and combat sports, respectively. Then, seven years after receiving their diplomas, they reunited for a bachelorette party, and after toasting a bottle of wine that just happened to be laced with a hyper serum, they all developed extreme hyper powers!
Captain’s Journal – Day 1 My name is Captain Noble, and I’ve been given the incredible privilege to command the Starship Stratalight. Of the thousands of vessels in the United Global Services fleet, the Stratalight is by far the most technologically advanced. Additionally, my crew is comprised of eleven of the most physiologically enhanced individuals in the galaxy. That is to say, we all have extraordinary hyper-powers. None more extraordinary than our communications technician, Placebo, who is arguably the greatest telepathic and telekinetic woman in the multiverse.
Speaking of Placebo and the multiverse, just a few weeks ago she detected a psionic explosion in deep space – which basically means a person or entity with mental powers somehow lost control of their own mind and sent out a wave of energy that transformed portions of the galaxy. Most of these transformations were relatively small and harmless, however, there were some changes that resulted in catastrophic fallout and have led to war, famine, disease and more. And that brings me to our mission: The Stratalight has been tasked to travel to the far reaches of the galaxy to try and mitigate the effects of the psionic waves.
Peter Philadelphia (22, black) no longer believes in the eternal and divine mission he and all his ancestors were called to carry out: the hunting down and slaying of ghost orphans. These ghost orphans inhabit human bodies, have enhanced metaphysical abilities, and most of them refuse to go down without a fight. Furthermore, another group of hunters called reapers, are also tracking and slaying ghost orphans. But while Peter and his comrades (collectively known as The Veil) are sending ghost orphans to a presumably peaceful afterlife, the reapers are intent on dragging the spirits to hell. This all plays out over a series of epic supernatural sword duels as The Veil clashes with the Reapers over the fate of the lost souls, and the ghost orphans clash with both in an effort to preserve their own mythical immortality.
Across the universe is a planet named Friki. It is home to numerous monster-like creatures, including humanoid vampires and werewolves. Portals connecting Friki and Earth enabled an agreement to be made eons ago between a secret cabal of human leaders, vampires and werewolves. They arranged to give rare, valuable items from Friki in exchange for humans for the consumption of their blood. The height of this trade began under King Belmont Rathegalia. A thriving economy and society was founded on the human blood industry under his purview. A governing body was implemented called the Vampire Order of Friki (VOF) – a group of elders from all the vampire clan houses created by King Belmont appointed to help advise and guide him. Sophistication and peace reign on Friki. Yet, a sudden catastrophe birthed from a lost history of Frikian magic, which is discovered to be at the root of the turmoil on Earth, threatens to plunge all into a tyrannical apocalypse, and only Belmont can prevent complete annihilation!
Heather has an unbending moral code and an undying love for the stars and bars. She will do whatever it takes to uphold the American dream and she is willing to give her life for the Constitution. To those ends she takes on the mantle of Liberty Star and uses her adept combat prowess and her beyond-elite archery skills to fight criminals, terrorists, supervillains and even other vigilante heroes that threaten the freedoms of the people. Imagine her surprise when her most prominent adversaries turn out to be a string of new government agencies that are hellbent on imposing rules and policies that seem to be stripping citizens of their rights. Freedom of Speech; the Right to Bear Arms; Freedom to Assemble… they all seem to be going down the drain right in front of Heather’s eyes. And as she fights back, she finds herself under siege from more powerful government entities, as well as a parade of supervillains with increasingly menacing hyper-abilities. Heather is strong, resolute, and almost always about her business.
100 years in the future, people with superpowers (hyper-beings) exist, and some of them pose a great threat to domestic and international security. Therefore, the US military develops a procedure to create super soldiers by injecting nano-cell technology fused with telepathic energy into the bodies of soldiers from an elite Black-Ops unit, along with grafting a unique material to their human muscular and skeletal systems. This gives the unit hyper-physical abilities, enabling them to be entrusted to execute US’ most important and top-secret missions. The unit is called the ALPHA INITIATIVE (AI).
The Tromokratesians are an indominable warrior-philosopher species hailing from the planet of Tromokrate in the Skotadi System, innumerable light years away from Earth. Honoring their ancestral ways of conquering and space exploration, they have expanded their empire across their galaxy to obtain a wealth of resources; none more important than knowledge. However, when they were expelled from The Unity for demanding the intergalactic governing body share powerful ancient secrets with all, the Tromokratesians were declared cosmic enemy number one. Thus, they waged war on The Unity and all its allies to liberate the universe from their enemies’ oppressive hold over the universe’s truths. And now, with Emperor Kako at the helm of the empire equipped with the very secrets The Unity withheld, a cosmic war spanning all of space is at hand!
Lucia Yanez descends from an ancestral bloodline of bruja (witches) extending back to the beginning of the Aztec Empire. A professor at Platinum City University, Dr. Yanez is ultra-inquisitive by nature and has studied ancient cultures, mythologies, religions, and artifacts. Her adventurous and hands-on approach to life has led her to every corner of the world. Lucia is by far the leader of her peers in knowledge and discovery. She has unearthed dozens of lost items, some of which were only believed to be myth. Her greatest adventures and findings, though, have come during her secret quests to obtain items and wisdom which imbue her with the mystical powers she utilizes in her other life as the bruja Mictlan, the protector of the realm of the living and defender against the entities from Tollan that threaten our world.
